Aging With Family

As I’ve served clients over the years, one area where I believe the industry can improve is in the job of helping seniors communicate and work with their families. Beneficiaries aren't simply names on a form. Children are not just a line item in their financial plan. The planning process should help forge families together, not drive them apart.
If we are lucky, all of us will need help some day. However, the closer we get to needing it, the harder it becomes to ask. Despite that, the industry has structured itself in a way that promotes waiting. Our Aging with Family process aims to change that.
Building from retirement planning we identify the key people in your life. They may be your beneficiary, or you may be inheriting from them. Maybe you share property or responsibilities with siblings. Perhaps you have a knowledgeable, trusted friend. Ignoring these individuals is a recipe for failure.
Identifying these people early, we can make a plan for the appropriate time for including them in your financial success. Everything is flexible and you remain in complete control. Talking through key decisions early, makes it easier to exercise those decisions when the time comes.
