Monthly Note
June 1, 2022
Hello!
I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day. Tough weather here in Idaho, it snowed on Monday, but we desperately need the moisture, so I guess it’s a blessing in disguise.
All things considered; May wasn’t an awful month for the markets, unlike the first 4 months of the year. Markets ended about flat for the month, which is a win we desperately needed. Most indexes are still down for second quarter, but nothing like first quarter. The worst may not be over yet, but the markets at least seem to be cooling off and not going through swings that are too wild.
I will be traveling at the end of June, early July, for 2 weeks to upstate New York. It’s my parent’s 50thwedding anniversary, which we’re very excited about. We are also visiting colleges with my daughter who is looking at pre-Vet programs in that area. I will be available and working the whole time but may be slower than usual to respond. Either my cell or my desk phone (208-534-7659) will ring through to my cell while I am out, do not hesitate the reach out. The office will be open normally and Lynn should be available most of the time. I have no other travel planned for the rest of the year, other than some weekend trips to see schools that my son is interested in, but most of those are local to Idaho.
Try not to think about the markets too much. If we get more rain, let’s just hope it stays over the farmers’ fields, and off the trout streams. Enjoy the summer!
