Monthly Note

March 1, 2022

Hello!

Markets are still very volatile. With the conflict in Ukraine and the continuing uncertainty around inflation I suspect we will continue to see volatility for the next few months. However, I do think that most of the concerns are emotional with the markets, many signs about the economy, like employment and wage growth, are very positive.

As I hinted at last month, Omicron is abating both locally and all over the world. That is excellent news and should help struggling sectors like the travel industry. Whatever the new normal is I hope we get there soon.

Tax season is in full swing, and “most” tax forms are done, there is a small wave of preliminary 1099s that were sent out recently, I suspect those should be finalized soon. We are happy to look up your tax forms and help you determine if you have them all. It can be very confusing, and you shouldn’t be bothered by reaching out for help.

My gauntlet of travel this spring will be over soon, but I will be out of the office for travel all next week, back on Monday, March 7thfor good. Communication will be spotty with me and it’s one of the few times I will say that calling Lynn, my Operations Manager, may be your best option. Her direct number is 208-534-7660. If you have a question directly for me, email will be best, as I should have good access to that. Don't hesitate to reach out.
