Monthly Note

April 1, 2023

December 1, 2022

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and is set to enjoy a merry Christmas, happy New Years and a wonderful holiday season.  The markets have continued to behave, with November continuing the slow crawl upward.  We still have a lot of progress to make and there is plenty that could derail the recovery, but for the most part the news is changing, and market conditions look pretty good.  Inflation is slowing, the fed has indicated that they'll ease interest rate hikes soon, and consumer spending is still looking solid.

In even brighter news, the Mountain America Center here in Idaho Falls has opened and we have season tickets for the local hockey team that will be playing there, the “Spud Kings”.  There are 24 home games starting this Friday the 3rd, running until late February.  We have a block of 7 and they will be available on a first come first serve basis.  Please call Lynn at 208-534-7660, or email lynn@tetonwealth.com to reserve your tickets at no cost.  The tickets are electronic, through Ticketmaster, and the building only takes credit/debit cards for food/drinks payment.

I have been working on a few changes with my business brand over the past 5-6 months.  Some of those changes are starting to reach public spaces.  Very little is really changing, but you may start to see “Canavan Wealth” alongside “Teton Wealth Management”.  To get ahead of any rumors or concerns, nothing is changing related to investments, my partner, our building, LPL Financial, fees or really anything for my existing clients.  I will have more news related to this after the new year, along with the official launch of my new website, which will have several new features including the ability to schedule an appointment in office and increased remote capabilities for my non-local clients.  This is just adjustments to my “brand”, but I didn’t want clients to see a new name and assume the worst.  Both brands will exist for all the foreseeable future.

I will be local throughout the holidays but will have family in town and may not be in the office every day.  Lynn will also be off, and our side of the office will not be staffed from the 21st to the 27th, however, there is nothing we can’t accommodate during that time, do not hesitate to call/text with any concerns or needs.  The phones will all be forwarded to me.
